Plotting the future.

Last night I spent a bit of time calculating what it would take to pay our mortgage off early. I figured out that if we applied our tax return to our mortgage on a yearly basis that we could pay our house off in the next 12 years. There is a part of me that would love to take our tax return and spend it on stuff like new furniture and Kichler lighting. The other part of me is sick and tired of being in debt to anyone for anything. Since paying off our credit cards and cars I have a different outlook on debt. I can see the freedom that being debt free affords a person and that is so very enticing. I just need to convince my husband of the reality that my plan would afford our entire family.
