Just wants to help

My older son is turning into quite the little worker and really tests me as to how far I will let him go to do so. The other day was card board recycling day and he asked me if he could break down the boxes in order to tie them and put them out by the curb for pick up. The dilemma was that some of them had to be cut in order for them to be broken down and he is not old enough to use the box cutter my husband uses to do so. Being the quick thinking mother I am I called my husband and had him pick up one of those safety cutters and asked him to supervise him when he comes home which my son looked forward to. I can't wait for the day he asks to change the oil in our car.
