Sign of the times?

One of my favorite things to come in the mail is our local "Penny Saver". There was a time when this little newspaper was just brimming with advertisements for everything imaginable. If there was something you were looking to buy it would undoubtedly be available for sale in the it. Over the last year the number of advertisements has dwindled to just about nothing. Every so often you might find advertisements for apartments for rent or something along those lines. I think it is likely due to the fact that people are hanging onto their belongings longer rather than constantly upgrading to something newer. It does make me wonder how much longer I will be receiving my favorite little newspaper as advertisement revenue must surely be dropping?
