So it seems like Walmart decided to carry caskets just like costco.com does. They start at $999. The article states: "You can get a quality casket for $1,000 rather than pay $2,000, $3,000 or $5,000 in a funeral home. That's where it helps the consumer," he said. Sounds like a good idea to me...who cares where the casket comes from. If I go early my kids are going to need the extra $$. Still seems weird though.
I told my husband to buy me one and I could use it every year to decorate for halloween, then when I die he can bury me in it. Think of all the money you'd save, I'm pretty young so by the time (hopefully) I die the same casket could cost 10 times as much! LOL!
