Fall is here.

It seems pretty clear that fall is definitely here. Our furnace kicked on for the first time this morning. That is always like nature saying "hello" in a subtle way. I suppose I should take this as my cue to check out our furnace filters and make sure everything is in good order. I spent the morning putting plastic on some of our windows that needed it. My husband spent the day putting in a door that will block some of the cold air from making its way up from the basement. All in all it seems like we are on track to be ready for winter when it finally does make it here.
