Life on an city smallholding wherein we grow kids, critters, and an ever increasing DIY repertoire.

I just might need it.
I come from a family of pack rats. This isn't always a bad thing but it can seriously clutter up your life if you let it. What is funny about this tendency is the that various people in family tend to gravitate towards hanging onto specific items. For instance, one person has amassed a huge collection of VHS cassette tapes. These aren't just ordinary movies but stupid programs that other people have recorded from television and then sold the tapes at garage sales and whatnot. Someone else I know hangs onto every piece of electronic gadgetry he can get his hands on. It doesn't matter if it is a archaic 25 inch and 100 pound computer monitor or some broken HDMI splitters he keeps it because he is convinced he just might need it someday. This is a family trait that I have had to fight very hard to overcome. I would love for them to experience how great it feels to rid yourself of countless bits of clutter but I don't see it happening any time soon.
