Walmart strikes again

My husband works in a neighboring town that is getting their first large chain department store, a Walmart. The town is raising a big stink and environmentalists are calling for a environmental site assessment in what supporters of Walmart are calling "an attempt to stall progress". People are afraid that this retail juggernaut will put many local and family run stores, pharmacies, and grocery stores as this is going to be a Super Walmart, out of business. The community is divided in it's support which causes interesting conversation in the break room at my husbands place of work. There would probably be a full out revolt if a company like K-Mart moved in next door. God help us all!!!
