Thankful!

Our family had an experience this week that just left me thankful. So very, very thankful. My husband was involved in a very serious car accident. Thankfully, he walked away reasonably unhurt. I don't think had I not seen first hand the accident I would have truly appreciated the severity of it. Our car from appearances looks like it was in a minor fender bender. The vehicle that hit our car at 60 mph flipped and ended up in two pieces. The other car that was involved was totaled as well. It is truly amazing that my husband was not seriously injured. He phoned me on this day prior to leaving work to tell me he was leaving. After hanging up I realized I hadn't said "I love you" and immediately felt guilty.... It is in moments like this we realize how truly blessed we are to get that opportunity.

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.
