Garden Update...

We have two gardens. One is in our backyard and the other is on my parents property. The garden in our backyard is just about done producing for this year. Last week we harvested the peaches from our three year old peach tree. We were very surprised by the amount of peaches we were able to harvest from such a young tree. Our bounty was about 80 pounds of peaches. We froze 10 pounds for smoothies this winter. The rest of the peaches were canned into 24 quarts of beautiful canned peaches. We still have about 8 pounds of peaches to process which I believe we will dehydrate. Next up on the agenda is potatoes and corn from our more remote garden. Overall I am very happy with our harvest.
