Not appropriate.

There are times when my husband just makes me smile. The other day he was just about to walk out the door and I had to stop him. You see, he was wearing one of the company logo shirts his father had given him. His father used to get tons of shirts from his employer that he never could use so he passed them on to my husband. At his previous employer it didn't matter what he wore. It didn't occur to him that as a civil service employee his boss might not want him wearing some other companies shirt to work. I can imagine people wondering whether the guy behind the desk is a temporary employee or has a second job since he seems to be wearing uniform.
