A little crazy!

This morning I was reading about a family who is expecting their 18th child next January. While they seem like a perfectly nice and respectable family I just find this irresponsible. In this family the older children are each responsible for a younger child. It seems like the parents are really only raising the newest family member and leave everything else up to the children to handle. It doesn't seem like much of a childhood from my standpoint. Sure I think children need to have responsibilities but not to this extent. Can you imagine what the food budget for a family this size is? I wonder how much NC health insurance has paid over the years for the birth and delivery of all these kids. It makes me want to dive a little deeper and find out how exactly they support themselves or whether the tax payers are doing it for them.
