It is concievable ...

Until you are faced with ongoing pain it is hard to understand someone being addicted to pain killers. But, I can now see how people find themselves in drug treatment. My Dad has had one injury after another recently and each time he has been prescribed some heavy duty painkillers. If it weren't for some wise medical professionals recommending alternative therapies to speed his recovery I have to wonder if he wouldn't be facing addiction problems. It seems like every two month he somehow manages to tear or pull or twist something in a serious way. Right now he is in the hospital recovering from his most recent injury and I am so thankful he is declining the pain pills they seem so ready to give him.
