In order to make my dream of staying home a reality we had to seriously overhaul our finances. This is not to say that I don't continue to earn money and contribute to the support of our family. Working from home has been amazing but given that my income varies greatly from week to week we needed to limit our bills as much as possible. This meant looking into student loan consolidation, paying down credit card bills, and refinancing our home. By making several wise decisions we have shaved an amazing $500.00 off our monthly bills. Add in the fact that I am a diligent user of coupons (which I purchase online) and things haven't been as big of struggle as they could be. It all makes me feel very, very fortunate!
