Stage Fright ?

Tonight is my oldest son's first Suzuki violin concert and we are quite excited for him. He has taken quite and interest in violin and works very hard to learn each new song. This morning he woke up a stated his stomach hurt. In general he is not one to want to miss anything because he is such a social being. In talking with him he did mention he was nervous about the concert which leads me to think this might be a touch of stage fright. I hate these moments in parenting because it is not like you can pull out your littman stethoscope and listen to the inner working of their body and have a good idea what is going on. Instead we talked about how many people would be in the audience that loved him and he seemed to feel better.
