You are doing what!

The other day my folks came over to visit and the topic of when I might return to work came up. They were quite surprised when I said that I had no intentions of returning to my previous job as an Audiologist. Immediately my parents were very concerned about how we were going to make ends meet. I explained that everything was just fine and that I get paid to blog. By the looks on their faces I might as well have said I was leaving audiology to work at McDonald's. I explained that blogging was rewarding me handsomely and they need not be concerned for us. Best of all I love what I am doing which is more than I could say for the high pressure hearing aid sales environment I was previously in. No doubt my parents believe I have gone off the deep end but that is alright every family has to have one nut in the tree!
