A favorite in our house is granola. This is a recipe I am going to try this week that sound easy and good.
GRANOLA (TOP)
5 cups quick oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup wheat germ (optional)
1/2 cup dry milk
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup nuts/raisins etc. (optional)
1/3 cup honey or molasses (do not use the store brand molasses - be sure to get homemade -)
Mix the brown sugar, oil and honey or molasses in a saucepan. Heat until the sugar is dissolved. Combine the other ingredients in a large cake pan or roaster. Pour sugar mixture over dry ingredients. Mix well. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes stirring often. Cool in the pan. Store in an airtight container
