My husband does all of the work on our vehicles and this often equates to some very grimy clothing. Traditional laundry soaps never seem to get his clothes as clean as I would like. A few years ago I started experimenting with homemade detergents and thought I would share a recipe for one that I love. This is also good for stained baby clothes (just double rinse).
# Powdered Laundry Detergent
# 1 Cup Grated Fels Naptha Soap
# 1/2 Cup Washing Soda
# 1/2 Cup Borax
# For light load, use 1 Tablespoon. For heavy or heavily soiled load, use 2 Tablespoons.
