I am having a day and it seems everyone I meet came from here. My neighbor stopped me the driveway today to go on about how bad his life is. He wanted to know if I saw him get arrested last night? Um, no apparently I wasn't hanging my head the window as assigned. He went on to tell me that one of the neighbors up the street has an order of protection out against him and that the guy made a "false" claim that he violated it last night by talking back to this guy after he said some "things" to him. The order of protection stems from a previous arrest for beating this guy up and "putting him in the hospital" (supposedly after the guy pulled a knife on my neighbor). I felt like someone moved me to the "hood" and didn't tell me in the middle of the night. I keep telling myself I really do live in a decent neighborhood...
By the way does anyone know how you are supposed to respond to a tale like this? My neighbor is unquestionably an idiot having proven this time and time again. I simply was at a loss for words. It is almost a blessing knowing he is just renting the house and likely will be moving on to grace another neighborhood with his love in the future. I just feel bad that he is raising kids on his own...
